چکیده
www.thoracic.org C LI P A N D C O P Y Pulmonary exercise training or pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) is a method by which you can exercise despite the limited reserve of your lungs. Exercising despite this limitation ensures your body stays fit and can make the most out of your existing lung function. Exercise is also necessary to ensure you are strong enough to recover from surgery and to make the most out of your new lungs when you have a lung transplant.

Hemodynamic responses to exercise after lung transplantation.
A reduced exercise tolerance, maximum oxygen uptake (VO2max), and anaerobic threshold have been reported after lung transplantation (LT). We prospectively assessed the hemodynamic responses to incremental cycle ergometry before and after LT in eight recipients. All recipients underwent a 6-week formal exercise training program. The VO2max increased after versus before LT (13.4 +/- 0.8 vs 9.2 +/...
متن کاملاثر سه ماه تمرینات هوازی منظم بر شاخصهای عملکرد ریوی و سطح سرمی استروژن و پروژسترون در اواسط فاز لوتئال در زنان مبتلا به آسم
Introduction: Sex hormones’ fluctuations during the menstrual cycle, influence asthma and lung function. Information on the changes in exercise-induced sex hormones in mid luteal phase associated with lung function changes is not available. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of the regular aerobic exercise on the lung function indices and serum levels of sex hormones in t...
متن کاملاثرتمرین درمانی چهار هفته ای بر عوارض ریوی پس از جراحی بای پس عروق کرونر در بیماران مبتلا به انسداد مزمن ریه
Background and purpose: Development of pulmonary complications after surgery is seen in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Some exercises are used to reduce these effects, but the results of these programs are incomplete. The aim of this study was to perform training programs and evaluation of lung function tests in two weeks before and after coronary artery bypass surg...
متن کاملAugmented ventilatory response to exercise in pulmonary hypertension.
The ventilatory response to submaximal exercise, defined as the slope of minute ventilation over carbon dioxide production (VE/VCO2), was determined in 12 normal subjects, ten patients with pulmonary hypertension before and after heart-lung transplantation, and eight patients following heart transplantation. Patients with pulmonary hypertension show an augmented ventilatory response compared to...

Background and Objective: Obesity and body fat percentage seem to be associated with respiratory problems, although the mechanism of this correlation is not very clear. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of 12-week HIIT training on lung function, serum leptin level and lipid profile in inactive obese men. Materials and Methods: Twenty-two inactive obese men aged 18 to 30 y...
